Simple Orbital Strikes Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I craft an orbital strike rod?
Place a fishing rod in the center of a crafting table and surround it with stacks of TNT. For a Nuke Shot, use 8 stacks of TNT around all sides; for a Stab Shot, use 4 stacks in a plus shape (top, bottom, left, right). Check the mod's crafting guide for exact stack sizes.
What's the difference between Nuke Shot and Stab Shot?
Nuke Shot drops a large cluster of primed TNT that explodes in a wide area, while Stab Shot creates a focused vertical column of explosions on a single block. Nuke Shot is better for area damage; Stab Shot is better for precision strikes.
How far can I strike from?
Both strike types can hit any block within 200 blocks of your position. Aim your crosshair at the target block and right-click to fire.
Why isn't my strike hitting where I'm aiming?
Make sure the target block is within 200 blocks and your crosshair is directly on it. If strikes are still missing, check that the rod has durability remaining and that strike delay hasn't prevented another shot yet.
How many times can I use a rod before it breaks?
Each rod has a durability value that determines how many strikes it can fire. You can adjust the durability uses per craft in the mod's configuration settings.
Can I give orbital strike rods to other players?
Yes, use the command `/orbitalstrike give [nuke_shot or stab_shot] [count]` to give rods to specific players. You can also use `/orbitalstrike nuke` or `/orbitalstrike stab` to give yourself a rod.
How do I make strikes more or less powerful?
Open the mod's configuration file to adjust blast radius and explosion power for Nuke Shots, or change explosion power and block-breaking rules for Stab Shots. You can also tune the fuse length and spawn height.
Do orbital strikes destroy blocks or just deal damage?
Strikes create real explosions that break blocks based on your configuration settings. You can adjust whether blocks are destroyed in the Nuke and Stab settings.
Can I use orbital strikes in creative mode?
Yes, orbital strike rods work in both survival and creative modes. In creative, rods have unlimited durability.
What happens if I aim at a block I can't see or that's blocked by terrain?
The strike will still fire at the block your crosshair is pointing at, even if it's behind terrain. The blast will originate from above that block and fall down, so it may not hit if obstacles are in the way.
