Equipping Cosmetic Hats

Simple Hats adds wearable cosmetic hats that players equip purely for decoration. The hats cover a wide range of themes: animal companions like the Axolotl Friend and Baby Penguin, food items such as the Apple, pop-culture references, and accessories like the Baseball Cap or Bandana.

To use a hat, you obtain the item and equip it in the appropriate slot. Because these are cosmetic, they do not provide armor or gameplay bonuses — they exist to change your character's appearance. You can swap hats freely whenever you want a different look.

The Hat Stand mob is the mod's dedicated way to display and manage hats. Place or interact with it to store and show off your collection rather than carrying every hat in your inventory.
