FAQ and Troubleshooting

How do I get hats? Craft and open Hat Bags, which give random hats by rarity or season. In Creative, take them from the Simple Hats tab.

How do I equip a hat? Right-click it in your hand, or use the /shequip command. Sneak + right-click removes the hat you are wearing.

Does a hat replace my helmet? No. Hats use a separate head accessory slot, so your armor helmet keeps working.

Can other players see my hat? Yes, hats render on your character for everyone in third person and on other players.

Why won't the mod load? Simple Hats needs its required libraries installed. The Trinkets library is bundled in the download, but you still need Fabric API, Cardinal Components API, and Cloth Config. Check your mods list if the game will not start.
