Create and Load Your First Custom Animation

Setting Up Your Animation File

Before you can play a custom animation in-game, you need to create it in Blockbench using the Bedrock player animation format. Design your animation with keyframes for bones in the player model, then export it as a .json file compatible with Bedrock Edition.

Loading Into the Mod

1. Locate your game folder (the directory containing saves, resourcepacks, and other Minecraft folders)

2. Create an animations folder if it doesn't already exist

3. Place your exported animation .json file into this folder

4. Launch or restart your game

5. Open chat and type /animate play <animation> where <animation> is the filename without the .json extension

Your character will immediately perform the animation. If nothing happens, double-check that the file is in the correct folder and that the animation name matches exactly (case-sensitive). You can stop any playing animation with /animate stop.
