Simple Animator Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Where do I put my animation files so the mod can find them?
Place your Bedrock animation files in the animations folder inside your game directory. The mod scans this folder on startup, so you may need to restart the game for new animations to appear.
Can I use animations from other players or animation packs?
Yes, as long as they're in Bedrock format. Drop them into your animations folder or add them through a data pack, and the mod will load them automatically.
What's the difference between override, movable, and abortable?
Override replaces your player pose and camera angle during the animation; movable lets you walk around while it plays; abortable lets you cancel it early with other actions. You set these per animation to control how it behaves.
Why can't I move while my animation is playing?
The animation's movable setting is probably disabled. Check your animation settings and enable movable if you want to walk during the animation.
How do I perform a synchronized animation with another player?
Use /interact invite to send them a request, and they accept with /interact accept . Both players must have the same interaction animation loaded for it to work.
Do animations sync automatically on multiplayer servers?
Yes, when you join a server the mod automatically synchronizes all animations from the host so every player sees the same movements. You don't need to manually load them.
Can I use this mod with other animation or player model mods?
Compatibility depends on how those mods modify the player model. Test them together in a world first—conflicts with other animation systems may cause issues.
What happens if I try to play an animation that doesn't exist?
The command will fail and nothing happens. Make sure the animation file is in your animations folder and the name matches exactly what you type in the command.
Can I stop an animation before it finishes?
Yes, use /animate stop to cancel the current animation. If the animation has abortable enabled, you can also interrupt it by performing other actions.
Do custom animations affect my game performance?
Simple Animator is lightweight, but playing many complex animations at once or loading hundreds of animation files may cause minor lag depending on your system.
