Scramble Your Death Messages as an Invisible Player

Enable Death Message Obfuscation

When you drink an invisibility potion and die, your name and death details will be hidden from other players if this setting is active. This keeps your stealth tactics private.

Steps:

1. Open the chat and type: /gamerule hideinvismsgs:obfuscate_invis_deaths true

2. Press Enter to confirm the rule is enabled

3. Drink an invisibility potion using the standard Minecraft method

4. Allow yourself to take fatal damage or trigger a death event

5. Check the chat—your name and death cause will appear as scrambled text instead of your actual username

Disable If Needed

If you want death messages to display normally again, simply type /gamerule hideinvismsgs:obfuscate_invis_deaths false and press Enter.

Note: This only affects invisible players. Visible players' death messages will always display normally. The scrambling applies to the public chat notification, not your personal death screen.
