Reduce Lag and Improve Performance
Lower Visual Quality Settings
Open the shader menu and locate quality or performance presets. Sildur's Vibrant typically includes options like "Low," "Medium," and "High." Select a lower preset to immediately reduce GPU load.
Disable Heavy Effects
Look for toggles affecting:
- Shadow quality: Reducing shadow resolution dramatically improves frame rate
- Reflections: Water and surface reflections are performance-intensive; disable or lower their quality
- Ambient occlusion: This darkens crevices realistically but costs performance
- Bloom/Glow effects: Disabling these removes the halo around bright objects
Adjust Render Distance
While not a shader setting, lowering your render distance in video settings significantly helps. Start at 12 chunks and increase only if performance allows.
Monitor Frame Rate
Enable the FPS counter (F3 debug screen) to measure impact. Each setting change should show immediate results. Prioritize shadow quality and reflection settings first—they have the biggest performance impact on this shader.
