Adjust Shader Brightness and Contrast
Access Shader Settings
Open the shader configuration menu while in-game by pressing the default hotkey (usually O or check your controls). This opens the shader options panel without pausing the game.
Modify Lighting Values
Look for brightness, contrast, and exposure sliders in the main menu. Sildur's Vibrant offers separate controls for:
- Overall brightness: Affects the entire scene uniformly
- Contrast: Increases the difference between light and dark areas
- Exposure: Controls how bright highlights become
Adjust these sliders in real-time and watch your world update instantly. If caves feel too dark or sunlit areas wash out, these are your primary tools.
Fine-Tune Ambient Light
Look for ambient occlusion or ambient light settings. Increasing ambient light makes shadowed areas more visible without affecting bright spots. This is useful for underground mining or exploring dark structures.
Save Your Preferences
Once satisfied, close the menu. Your settings persist across sessions automatically. If you want to reset to defaults, most shader packs include a reset option in the configuration menu.
