Use Long URLs Without Breaking the Sign

The Problem

Some image URLs are very long and won't fit on a sign's text lines, causing the sign to break or the URL to be cut off.

Solution: Upload to Imgur

The mod includes a built-in Imgur uploader to shorten your URLs:

1. Get your long image URL ready

2. Open chat and run: /paintings:upload <your-full-url>

3. The mod will upload the image to Imgur and return a shortened URL

4. Copy the new short URL and paste it into your sign instead

The shortened Imgur link will fit easily on a sign and display the same image. This is especially useful for URLs from image hosting sites with long query parameters.

Note

Make sure your original URL points directly to an image file (not a webpage). The upload command handles the rest.
