How do I link a chest to a sign?
Hold redstone dust in your hand, left-click the chest you want to link, then left-click the sign. The sign and chest are now connected and ready to use.
What do I write on the sign to make a buy shop?
Write [Buy] on the first line of the sign, then add the item name, price, and quantity on the remaining lines according to the format shown in the Set Up Your First Buy Shop guide.
Can I sell items directly from my inventory without a chest?
No, you need a chest containing the items you want to sell. The chest holds the inventory for your shop, and players buy from what's stored inside it.
How do I set up a shop that never runs out of stock?
Create an admin shop by using the admin buy or sell sign type instead of the regular player shop signs. Admin shops have infinite stock and are typically used for server markets or spawn shops.
Do shulker boxes work with this mod?
Yes, you can place shulker boxes inside chests to sell bulk quantities of items. This lets players buy large amounts at once without needing multiple chests.
Will creepers destroy my shop?
No, shops are protected from explosions by default, so creepers and other explosions cannot damage your chests or signs.
Can I use warped or crimson wood signs?
Yes, the mod works with different wood types including warped and crimson signs, so you can match your shop's aesthetic to your build.
What happens if someone doesn't have enough money to buy from my shop?
The transaction will fail and the player won't receive the item. The exact behavior depends on your server's economy plugin, but the shop won't complete the sale without sufficient funds.
Can I delete someone else's shop?
Only if you have the appropriate permissions set by your server admin. By default, players can only destroy their own shops.
Why is the potion name showing incorrectly on my sign?
The mod should display correct potion names automatically. If you're seeing an error, check that the potion item is actually in the chest and try relinking the sign to the chest with redstone dust.
