Understand Why Zombies Still Spawn Near Your Village

Siege Stopper only blocks one spawn mechanic

If you see zombies near your village despite having Siege Stopper installed, they're likely spawning through normal darkness mechanics, not from a Zombie Siege. These are different systems:

Zombie Siege (what Siege Stopper blocks):

  • Triggered automatically at midnight
  • Spawns waves specifically near villages
  • Only occurs in certain conditions

Normal zombie spawning (still happens):

  • Occurs in dark areas anywhere in your world
  • Happens at night or in caves
  • Affected by light level, not village proximity

How to tell the difference

  • Siege zombies appear in coordinated waves around your village at midnight
  • Normal zombies spawn randomly in dark spots, including caves and unlit areas far from villages

To prevent all zombie spawning near your village, light up the area thoroughly. Siege Stopper removes the siege mechanic specifically, but regular mob spawning rules still apply everywhere in your world.
