Shureees Potions Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I know which potion does what if I have a lot in my inventory?
Each potion has a unique bottle shape that matches its effect—for example, Regeneration uses a heart shape and Night Vision uses a moon shape. This visual system works even if you're colorblind, since you're identifying potions by their physical form rather than color alone.
Why does my potion bottle look tilted?
A tilted bottle at a 45-degree angle means it's a Splash Potion. If the bottle is tilted AND has no cork with visible particles around it, that's a Lingering Potion.
What do the bands around potion bottles mean?
A red band indicates the potion's duration was extended using Redstone, while a golden band means the potion's effect strength was amplified using Glowstone. You might see both bands on the same bottle if both modifications were applied.
Do I need to do anything special to activate the resource pack?
No—once the resource pack is loaded in your world or server, it automatically replaces all potion visuals. You'll see the new bottle shapes and designs immediately without any additional setup.
Does this work with potions I already have in my inventory?
Yes, the resource pack applies to all potions in your inventory, chests, and the world, whether you brewed them before or after installing the pack.
Can I tell the difference between a regular potion and a splash potion by color alone?
No—the main visual difference is the tilt angle of the bottle itself. Splash Potions are tilted at 45 degrees, so you need to look at the bottle's orientation, not just its color.
What happens to potions with multiple effects?
The resource pack displays the primary effect's bottle shape. If you're unsure which effect is primary, hover over the potion in your inventory to see the full list of effects in the tooltip.
Does this resource pack affect potion brewing or recipes?
No, it only changes how potions look visually. Brewing recipes, ingredient requirements, and potion effects remain exactly the same as vanilla Minecraft.
Will this work on multiplayer servers?
Yes, as long as you have the resource pack installed on your client. Other players don't need it installed to play with you, but they won't see the custom bottle designs unless they add it themselves.
Can I use this with other resource packs?
It depends on whether the other pack also modifies potion textures. If there's a conflict, you can adjust the load order in your resource pack settings, or use only one potion-focused pack at a time.
