How do I see what's in a shulker box without opening it?
Hold the shulker box in your inventory and move your mouse over it—a popup window will appear showing all 27 slots and their contents in a grid. If you have Require Shift enabled in settings, you'll need to hold Shift while hovering instead.
Can I use this mod on multiplayer servers?
Yes, Shulker Peek runs entirely on your client side, so it works on any server without needing the mod installed on the server itself.
Why isn't the preview showing up when I hover over my shulker box?
Check if Require Shift is enabled in your config—if so, you need to hold Shift while hovering. You can also verify the mod is turned on by pressing your assigned keybind or checking the Enabled setting in config/shulkerpeek.json.
How do I turn off the preview temporarily while playing?
Press your assigned keybind to toggle the preview on and off without leaving your game or opening any menus.
Can I customize how the popup looks?
Yes—you can adjust Color tint strength to change how bright the dye color appears, Slot background darkness to make slots lighter or darker, and toggle Show title and Show item counts on or off in the settings.
Does the popup show how many items are stacked in each slot?
Yes, if you have Show item counts enabled in your settings, the exact stack size will display on each item in the preview.
What if I only want the preview to show when I'm holding Shift?
Enable the Require Shift option in your config or in-game settings menu, and the preview will only appear when you hold Shift while hovering over a shulker box.
Does the popup background color match my shulker box dye?
Yes, the Color Matching feature automatically changes the popup background to match the dye color of the shulker box you're hovering over.
Can I see the name of the shulker box in the preview?
