How to Showcase an Item in Chat

The Basic Keybind

Hover over the item you want to share in your inventory and press the showcase key (default: Shift + X). The mod reads the item under your cursor and posts a clickable, hoverable item link into the chat for everyone on the server to see. You do not need to type a command — the keybind does all the work.

Step by Step

1. Open your inventory (or any container, such as a chest or your hotbar).

2. Move your mouse so it hovers directly over the item you want to link.

3. Hold Shift and press X.

4. A chat message appears containing your item. Other players can hover over it to see the tooltip and click it to preview the item.

If Nothing Happens

• Make sure your cursor is actually over an item slot with something in it — empty slots produce nothing.
• Check that the showcase key has not been rebound by another mod. Open your controls/keybinds menu and search for the showcase entry, then reassign it if it conflicts.
• On servers, the feature must be supported server-side; if the server does not have the mod or a compatible handler, the message may not render for others.
