Understand Demand Bonus Loss During Re-rolls
What Happens to Demand Bonus
When a villager's trades are re-rolled (either daily or after full depletion), the demand bonus data is deleted. This means price multipliers built up from previous trades are reset.
Impact on Your Trading
Demand bonus causes prices to increase when you trade repeatedly with the same villager. When re-rolls occur:
- Prices return to baseline
- You lose any accumulated price increases from before the re-roll
- This effectively resets the villager's "trading history"
Minimizing Economic Impact
Spread trades across multiple villagers:
1. Use different librarians for different enchantments
2. Use different farmers for different crops
3. This distributes demand and prevents any single villager from accumulating high price multipliers
Trade strategically before re-rolls:
- If you know a re-roll is coming (daily reset), complete important trades beforehand
- The demand bonus will reset anyway, so there's no penalty for trading heavily before a re-roll
This mechanic encourages building diverse trading networks rather than exploiting single villagers.
