Stop Vines from Growing on Your Build

Using Shears on Vines

Vines can quickly overtake your carefully constructed structures. With this mod, you can permanently halt their growth using shears.

Steps:

1. Equip shears in your hand

2. Look directly at the vine block you want to stop

3. Right-click (or use your attack key) on the vine

4. The vine will be sheared and will no longer grow downward or spread

Preventing Regrowth

Once sheared, the vine block remains in place but becomes inert—it won't extend further or create new blocks below it. This is identical to how cave vines behave when sheared. You can leave the sheared vine as decoration, or break it entirely with any tool or your hand if you prefer a clean surface.

This mechanic is especially useful for:

• Protecting the exterior walls of builds from vine overgrowth
• Maintaining jungle temples and structures
• Keeping vines away from windows and doorways
• Creating intentional vine patterns without worrying about uncontrolled spread
