Sync Mod Configurations Across Instances
Understand Config Sharing Limitations
The Shared Resources Mod supports sharing the Fabric config folder for well-coded mods that follow standard configuration practices. Not all mods store their configs in a way that's compatible with this feature.
Place Configs in Your Global Directory
Create a config folder in your global directory. Copy mod configuration files from one instance into this shared folder. The mod will attempt to load these configs alongside instance-specific ones.
Verify Mod Compatibility
Launch an instance and check if your mods load with the shared configurations. Some mods may ignore the global config or require instance-specific settings. Test each mod's behavior to confirm it's reading from the shared location.
Handle Conflicts
If a mod behaves unexpectedly, it may not support shared configs. In that case, keep its configuration local to each instance instead. The mod allows selective sharing, so you can mix global and local configs as needed.
