Set Up a Global Directory for Shared Resources

Create Your Global Directory

First, decide where you want to store your shared game files. This can be anywhere on your computer—a dedicated folder on your Desktop, Documents, or a separate drive works well. Create a new folder and name it something clear like Minecraft Shared or MC Global Resources.

Configure the Mod

Launch Minecraft with the Shared Resources Mod installed. Open the mod's configuration screen (usually accessible from the main menu or pause menu, depending on your loader). Look for the option to set a global directory path.

Browse to the folder you just created and select it. The mod will confirm the path and begin using this directory alongside your instance-specific folders.

Verify Setup

Create a test resource pack or data pack in your global directory. Launch a Minecraft instance and check that the files appear in the respective selection menus. If they load correctly, your global directory is properly configured and ready to share across multiple instances.
