Shared Health Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn on shared health?
Use the command `/gamerule shareHealth true` to enable shared health for your server or world. All players will immediately join the same health pool.
Does shared health affect hunger too?
Hunger is separate by default, but you can link it with `/gamerule shareHunger true` to make food consumption affect the entire group's hunger bar.
What happens if one player takes damage?
When any player takes damage, that damage is subtracted from the shared health pool, so all players lose health at the same time.
Can I turn off shared health for specific players?
The mod applies the gamerule to all players on the server or in the world—there's no per-player toggle, so all players must follow the same setting.
Does healing work for everyone at once?
Yes, when one player eats food or uses a healing item, the shared health pool increases for the entire group.
Will shared health work in single-player?
Shared health is designed for multiplayer servers and teams, but the gamerule can be enabled in single-player worlds—though the effect is only noticeable with multiple players.
Does this mod cause lag or performance issues?
The mod is lightweight and designed to have minimal performance impact, even on servers with many players.
Can I use shared health with other mods?
Shared Health Mod is compatible with most mods, but conflicts can occur with mods that heavily modify health or damage mechanics—test your mod combination before running a live server.
What's the difference between shareHealth and shareHunger?
`shareHealth` links player health bars together, while `shareHunger` links hunger bars; you can enable one, both, or neither independently.
If someone dies, does everyone die?
When shared health reaches zero, all players die simultaneously, so teamwork is essential to prevent a total group wipe.
