Shared Advancements Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn on advancement sharing for my team?
Use the /team command to create or join a team, then advancements earned by any team member will automatically sync to all others on that team. Make sure the mod is installed server-side for this to work.
Can I share advancements with just one player or do I need a whole team?
You need to use the /team system—advancements share among all members of the same team. You can create a team with just two players if you want to share with a single friend.
What's the difference between team sharing and server-wide broadcasting?
Team sharing only syncs advancements to players on your team, while server-wide broadcasting shows every advancement to all players on the server. You can configure which mode you prefer in the mod settings.
Do I need to install the mod on my client if I'm playing on a server?
The mod is server-side only, so the server must have it installed. For LAN worlds, you'll need the mod on your client as well.
Why aren't my teammate's advancements showing up for me?
Check that you're both on the same team using /team list, and verify the server has the mod installed. If you're on a LAN world, make sure all players have the mod installed on their clients.
Can I keep some advancements private while sharing others?
Yes, you can manage which advancements are shared versus personal through the mod's configuration. This lets you keep certain achievements personal while syncing others with your team.
Does this mod work with custom advancement packs?
The mod shares advancements from any source, including custom datapacks and advancement packs, as long as they're properly installed on the server.
What happens to shared advancements if a player leaves the team?
Advancements already earned by that player remain on their account. If they rejoin the team later, they'll sync with any new advancements earned by teammates during their absence.
Does advancement sharing affect performance or server lag?
The mod is lightweight and server-side only, so it has minimal performance impact. Syncing happens efficiently without noticeable lag on most servers.
Can I use this mod with other mods that modify advancements?
The mod is generally compatible with other mods, but conflicts can occur if another mod also modifies advancement behavior. Test your mod combination on a test world first to be safe.
