Adjust Colored Lighting Intensity

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated shader menu key (typically found in your controls settings). Look for the Shader_vanilla configuration panel.

Modify Light Color Saturation

Locate the colored lighting intensity slider. This controls how vibrant light from torches, lanterns, and other light sources appears in your world. Moving the slider right increases color saturation, making reds from fire and blues from soul lanterns more pronounced. Moving it left creates more neutral, white-tinted lighting.

Fine-Tune Per Light Source

Some configurations allow adjusting specific light colors separately. If available, you can individually control how warm torchlight appears versus cool-toned magical light sources. Test changes in different environments—caves with torches, nether structures, and end dimensions—to see how adjustments affect visibility and atmosphere.

Apply and Test

Save your changes and explore your world. Colored lighting affects both direct light and how it bounces off nearby blocks, so changes are most noticeable in enclosed spaces and at night.
