How to Set an Exact World Spawn Point Before Creating a New World

Editing the Config Before World Creation

The spawn point is read when a world is first generated, so you must configure it *before* you create the world. Locate the mod's config file in your config folder and open it with a plain text editor.

Set the following values:

  • xCoordSpawnPoint — the X coordinate you want players to spawn at.
  • yCoordSpawnPoint — the Y coordinate. Leaving this at its default of -1 tells the mod to auto-select the first solid block at that X/Z column, which is usually what you want so players don't fall through the world.
  • zCoordSpawnPoint — the Z coordinate.

Save the file, then launch the game and create a new world. The mod applies the coordinates during world generation.

Choosing Good Coordinates

Pick coordinates that sit on solid ground. If you set a Y value manually, make sure it is above the terrain surface at that spot, otherwise players may spawn inside blocks. For a village start, look up the village's coordinates in an existing world first, then reuse them here. For a custom build, place the spawn on a flat platform you control.

If the spawn looks wrong, exit the world, adjust the config, and generate a fresh world — existing worlds keep the spawn they were created with.
