Do You Need to Install Servux on Your Client?
The Short Answer
No. Servux is a server-side-only mod. You install it on the server, and players connect with an unmodified client (aside from whatever client-side mods they personally use). Putting Servux in your client mods folder does nothing useful and may simply be ignored.
How to Tell Where It Belongs
1. If you run a server for other players, add Servux to the server's mod folder.
2. If you are a player joining someone else's server, do not add it to your client. Instead, ask the operator whether they run it.
3. If you play single-player, Servux has no role. Single-player already gives your client full access to world data, so the compatibility problem it solves does not exist there.
Why This Matters
Understanding the split prevents wasted troubleshooting. If a feature is broken for you as a player, the fix is on the server side, not yours. If you are the operator, installing Servux is the action that unlocks support for your players' client mods. Knowing which side of the connection you are on tells you immediately whether Servux is relevant to your problem.
