Tuning Sleep for Small vs Large Servers

The right sleep percentage depends entirely on how many people play at once. A setting that feels great for two friends is annoying for twenty, and vice versa.

For Small Groups

With two or three players, a low percentage means one person can end the night alone, which can feel unfair if others wanted to keep mining. A moderate value forces at least a couple of people to agree. Test a few values and ask your group which feels best.

For Large Servers

On a crowded server, waiting for a high percentage is painful because someone is always offline or distracted. A lower value lets the majority move things along without dragging everyone down. This is the scenario the data pack was built for.

Adjusting on the Fly

You can change the gamerule at any time with /gamerule playersSleepingPercentage <number> and it takes effect instantly. There's no need to reload the data pack or restart. If your player count fluctuates between day and night, consider a middle value that works reasonably in both cases rather than constantly editing it.
