Skipping the Night Without Waiting for Everyone
The classic frustration on a busy server is one player AFK or exploring while everyone else lies in bed. This data pack exists to fix exactly that, but you still need to know how the skip actually triggers.
What Counts as Sleeping
A player counts toward the total once they are lying in a bed and the sleep animation has started. Players in other dimensions, dead, or simply standing near a bed do not count. Only the players currently online are considered, so someone logged off doesn't block the skip.
Triggering the Skip
Once enough players are in bed to meet the configured percentage, the night ends automatically and everyone in the Overworld wakes up. You don't press anything special. If the skip isn't happening, check how many players are actually online and whether the percentage is set higher than your group can reach.
When It Won't Work
Sleep is blocked during thunderstorms in some setups and cannot skip the night in the Nether or End. If a phantom or mob is nearby, a player may be unable to enter a bed at all. Clear threats first, then try again.
