Do I need to do anything after installing the mod or does it work automatically?
The mod works automatically—no configuration needed. Once installed, it will silently remove spaces from server addresses whenever you add a server or use Direct Connect.
Will the mod remove spaces from the middle of server names or just the edges?
The mod removes unwanted spaces from the beginning, middle, and end of the address string. This includes spaces accidentally copied from websites, documents, or chat.
What if my server address legitimately has spaces in it?
Server addresses (domain names and IP addresses) cannot contain spaces by design, so the mod will not break any valid address. If you're entering a server name or label for your own reference, that field is separate and unaffected.
Does this mod work with Direct Connect or only the Add Server menu?
The mod works with both the "Add Server" section and the "Direct Connect" feature, automatically cleaning spaces in either case.
Can I undo the space removal or see what the mod changed?
The mod removes spaces silently before you connect. If you need to verify the cleaned address, check the server list entry after adding it—the spaces will no longer be there.
Does this mod affect performance or cause lag?
No, the mod only processes server addresses when you add or connect to a server, so it has no impact on gameplay performance or server tick rate.
Will this mod work if I'm using a modpack or other mods?
Yes, the mod is lightweight and compatible with modpacks and other mods. It only modifies how server addresses are handled and does not conflict with gameplay or server-side mods.
What if I copy a server address and it still says 'unknown host'?
If the error persists after installing the mod, the issue may be a typo in the address itself, a firewall block, or a server that is offline—not spaces. Double-check the address spelling and verify the server is running.
Can I use this mod to batch-add multiple servers at once?
The mod cleans spaces from addresses you enter, but you still add servers one at a time through the menu or Direct Connect. However, if you're pasting multiple addresses with spaces, the mod will clean each one automatically.
Does the mod work on servers I've already added, or only new ones?
The mod processes addresses when you add or edit them. If you re-add a server that previously had spaces, the mod will clean it on the new entry.
