Show Block Outlines Through Leaves and Foliage

The problem with foliage

Leaves, tall grass, and other non-solid blocks often obscure your view when you're trying to see what's behind them. Selective Bounds Mod hides outlines on these blocks by default to keep your screen clear.

Configuring foliage behavior

Open configs/selectivebounds.json and look for settings related to non-solid blocks or foliage. You can whitelist specific block types so their outlines always show, or disable the foliage-hiding feature completely.

Alternatively, you can keep the default behavior and use Shift whenever you need to see an outline through leaves. Holding Shift forces the outline to appear temporarily, which is helpful when you're trying to navigate dense vegetation or locate blocks hidden behind foliage.

Testing your changes

After editing the config file, reload your world or restart the game for changes to take effect. Test by looking at leaves and other transparent blocks to confirm the outline behavior matches your preference.
