SeedMapper Cevapi Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I open the minimap when I first start?
Press the map key (configurable in mod options) to toggle the minimap on your screen, or use the command /sm:minimap to open it. The minimap will appear as a small square in your chosen corner and will track your position and nearby structures automatically.
Why aren't my custom structures showing up on the map?
Make sure you've imported the data pack using /sm:datapack import and that the structures are enabled in your mod options menu under the structures tab. Some data packs may require you to restart your world or re-enter the dimension for changes to take effect.
How do I search for specific items inside chests without visiting them?
Click the Loot Table button on your map screen, then type the item name you're looking for—the mod will show you which chests contain that item and their locations on the map. This only works for chests the mod has already scanned in your world.
Can I highlight multiple different block types at the same time?
Yes, you can add multiple block highlights with different colors through the Custom Block Highlights feature in your mod options. Each highlight will draw glowing boxes around its target blocks, and you can toggle them on or off individually.
What's the difference between marking a structure as complete and just hiding it?
Right-clicking a structure icon marks it with a green checkmark to show you've already explored it, while holding Ctrl and clicking hides everything else on the map temporarily for focus. The checkmark stays visible so you remember which locations you've visited.
How far can I zoom out on the map?
You can zoom out very far to see thousands of blocks at once, and you can adjust the maximum zoom distance using /sm:config Zoom set [value] if you want to change how far the default allows.
Does the mod work in the End dimension?
Yes, the mod works in the End and includes a special Elytra icon to help you hunt for Elytra in that dimension. The End dimension map displays yellow islands and End Cities as colored square icons.
Why are my ore highlights showing blocks I don't want to see?
The mod automatically ignores air and water when highlighting ores to keep results accurate, but if you're still seeing unwanted blocks, check your highlight settings in mod options to ensure you're only targeting the specific ore type you want.
Can I export my map data and use it somewhere else?
Yes, you can export your map locations into JSON files using /sm:exportloot [dimension], or convert them into waypoints that other mods can read. This lets you share your discoveries or back up important locations.
What happens if I use another tool to find my world seed—will SeedMapper recognize it?
The mod automatically applies the correct world seed if another tool finds it for you, so you don't need to manually enter it. Once detected, all your map features will use the correct seed data.
