Toggling the Season Display On and Off and Customizing Its Look

Hide or show the HUD element

Sometimes you want a clean screen, for example while recording or building. Open the SeasonHUD config and find the main enable or visibility toggle for the HUD element. Turning it off removes the season text entirely without uninstalling anything. Some builds also bind this to a key, so check your controls menu for a SeasonHUD keybind you can press to toggle it in-game.

Change what the text shows

SeasonHUD can display the season name, and depending on the season mod it may also show the current day or sub-season progress. In the config, look for display options such as showing the season name only, adding the day counter, or switching between a short label and a longer one. Pick the level of detail that fits your HUD without cluttering it.

Tune colors and scale

If your build exposes appearance settings, you can change the text color, add a background or shadow for readability, and adjust the scale so it matches your GUI size. A subtle shadow helps the text stay legible over bright terrain. After editing, save and reload; the HUD updates live so you can compare options. Keep the element small and out of the way of your hotbar and minimap.
