Make Custom Biomes Respect Seasonal Weather

Understanding Biome Classification

The Seasonal Integration Mod automatically tags biomes from supported mods into seasonal categories. If you've added a new biome through another mod and it's receiving incorrect weather (like snow in a desert), you need to verify its biome classification.

Checking Your Biome's Tags

1. Travel to the biome in question

2. Open your mod menu and locate Seasonal Integration settings

3. Look for biome rule configurations—these show which biomes are classified as tropical, hot, cold, or temperate

4. Desert and badlands biomes should be blacklisted from winter snow

5. Jungle and tropical biomes should remain warm year-round

Applying Fixes

If a biome has incorrect seasonal behavior:

  • Check if the biome mod is in the mod's compatibility list
  • Verify the mod is loaded alongside Serene Seasons
  • Ensure no conflicting mods are overriding biome properties
  • If the biome still misbehaves, it may not be officially supported yet

The mod works passively—once loaded, it automatically sorts biomes. No manual configuration is typically needed for supported packs.
