How to Undo, Redo, and Avoid Losing Book Edits

Using Undo and Redo Shortcuts

Scribble adds undo and redo support to book editing through keyboard shortcuts. While the book screen is open, press the undo shortcut to reverse your last action, such as a color change, an inserted page, or deleted text. Press the redo shortcut to bring back something you undid. These work step by step, so you can roll back several changes in a row. The exact key combination is shown in the mod's controls settings if the default does not suit you.

Saving Before You Exit

One of the mod's safeguards is that it checks for unsaved changes before you leave the editing screen. If you try to close a book with unsaved edits, you are prompted so you do not accidentally discard your work. Get into the habit of saving the book whenever you finish a batch of edits, especially after inserting or removing pages. If you are about to make risky changes, export the book to your computer first as a backup. Combined with undo, this means a mistake in formatting or page order is easy to recover from.
