How to Add Colors and Underlines to Written Book Text

Selecting and Formatting Text

Open a written book or book and quill and enter the editing screen. Highlight the word or phrase you want to change by clicking and dragging over it, or use shift plus the arrow keys to select. With the text selected, use the formatting buttons that Scribble adds to the book GUI. The color button opens a palette; pick a color and the selection immediately changes to that color. The underline button toggles an underline on the selection, and the same panel typically offers other effects like bold and italics. Because the mod applies these as real formatting codes, you can stack a color and an underline on the same word.

Fixing and Reverting Formatting

If you apply the wrong color, select the text again and choose a new color, or use the undo shortcut to step back. Scribble supports editing books that already contain color codes, so opening an old book will not strip its existing formatting. To remove formatting entirely, reselect the text and toggle the effect off, or clear the color back to the default. Remember to save the book before closing the screen; the mod warns you about unsaved changes so you do not lose your edits.
