Create a Custom Vignette Overlay

Access the Overlay Menu

Open your mod settings through the in-game configuration screen. Navigate to the overlays section to view available effects. Select the vignette option to enable it.

Customize Vignette Appearance

Once enabled, adjust the vignette's darkness by modifying the opacity slider. Most vignette settings allow you to control how far the darkening extends from the screen edges toward the center. Increase the radius value to make the effect more subtle, or decrease it for a more dramatic frame.

Fine-Tune for Your Playstyle

Vignettes work well during exploration and combat, but you may want to disable them during building or detailed work. Use the toggle option to quickly switch the effect on and off without losing your settings. Test different opacity levels in various lighting conditions—caves, forests, and bright daylight will all show different results. Save your preferred configuration so it persists across sessions.

Resource Pack Compatibility

If your vignette appearance seems off, check that your resource pack doesn't conflict with the overlay. Most modern packs work seamlessly, but older or heavily modified packs may need adjustment.
