Adjust Screen Effects for Different Lighting Conditions
Create Condition-Specific Profiles
ScreenFX works best when effects adapt to your environment. Set up separate configurations for caves, surface exploration, and indoor building. Each profile can have different overlay intensities and color filters.
Optimize for Low-Light Environments
In caves and dark areas, reduce vignette opacity so you don't lose visibility at screen edges. Avoid heavy color filters that make it harder to spot mobs or resources. A subtle blue or purple tint can enhance atmosphere without compromising safety.
Enhance Bright Outdoor Scenes
During daytime exploration, you can afford stronger vignettes and more saturated color overlays. Bloom effects work particularly well in bright conditions, creating a more immersive visual experience. Experiment with warm color tints during sunset for added ambiance.
Test and Refine
Spend time in each environment with your current settings. If you're squinting or struggling to see details, dial back the effect intensity. The goal is enhanced visuals without sacrificing gameplay clarity. Adjust settings gradually rather than making large changes all at once.
