What does the Schematica mod do?
It is a client-side building utility that displays schematic files as translucent ghost blocks in the world so you can recreate structures block by block. It can also export parts of your world into a schematic file.
What Minecraft versions does Schematica support?
The original mod lists versions from 1.5.2 up through 1.12.2. The fork on Modrinth is available for 1.8.9.

Does Schematica add new items or blocks?
No, it is a client-side building utility that displays ghost images of schematic files and exports parts of your world. It does not add new items or blocks.

How do I load a schematic in Schematica?
Put your schematic files into the schematics folder created in your .minecraft folder, then use the load key (default NUM_/) to load them into your world. You can change the default keys to anything you want.
How do I save a schematic in Schematica?
Use the save key (default NUM_*) to open the save GUI, select two points in your world, type a name into the textbox, and click save. You can also export parts of your map this way.
How does the Schematica printer work?
Before enabling the printer, make sure you have the required materials on your hotbar, since it is a vanilla restriction that cannot be bypassed with a client-only mod. Once enabled with the correct blocks in your hotbar, walk around and the mod will place blocks around you.
Can server owners disable parts of Schematica?
Yes, server owners can send codes in the MOTD (within the first 10 lines) to disable printer, save schematic, or load schematic functionality. The codes are §0§2§0§0§e§f for printer, §0§2§1§0§e§f for save, and §0§2§1§1§e§f for load.
What is the Schematica fork on Modrinth?
It is a fork of Schematica with additional modern features, available for Forge on 1.8.9. It adds options like Change State, Arrow Key Move, and Persist Schematic, plus a /schematicaConfig command.
