Choose Your Alert Level

ScamScreener offers four alert levels that control how aggressively the mod flags messages. Your choice depends on how cautious you want to be and how much chat noise you can tolerate.

Steps:

1. Open /ss settings to access the main configuration menu

2. Locate the alert level selector

3. Choose from: Low, Medium, High, or Critical

4. Save your preference

Understanding Each Level

Low catches only obvious scams with clear red flags. Medium adds detection for urgent language and suspicious links. High flags repetitive messages and tricky phrasing. Critical is most aggressive and may flag legitimate trades. Start with Medium if you're new to the mod, then adjust based on how many false alarms you receive. You can also toggle individual detection rules on or off in the settings menu for fine-tuned control over which types of scams trigger warnings.
