How to Tear Down a Large Scaffolding Tower Without Chasing Dropped Pieces

Break the Bottom Block, Not the Top

When you want to remove a tall scaffolding structure, resist the urge to start at the top. With this mod installed, breaking the lowest scaffolding block in a connected column causes every block stacked above it to drop at that same spot. Stand next to the base, aim at the bottom block, and break it. The whole column collapses into a single pile at your feet instead of raining blocks down around you.

Collecting the Drops

After the tower collapses, the items land where the bottom block was. Walk over that spot and pick everything up. If you are dismantling several towers in a row, clear each pile before moving to the next one so you do not lose track of which drops belong to which structure. For very wide builds, work column by column: break the base of one column, grab the drops, then move to the next. This keeps your inventory organized and prevents items from despawning while you are busy elsewhere.

When It Does Not Work

If blocks scatter instead of dropping together, the scaffolding you broke probably was not the bottom of a connected stack, or the blocks above were not actually attached. Make sure you are breaking the lowest block and that the structure is one continuous connected group. Disconnected sections behave independently, so treat each separate cluster as its own teardown.
