How do I make scaffolding drop in one spot?
Just break the bottom scaffolding block of a connected column or stack. The mod automatically makes every connected block above it drop at that same location instead of scattering.
Does this mod work automatically or do I need to enable something?
It works automatically once installed. There are no keybinds or toggles to configure for the core behavior.
What counts as 'connected' scaffolding?
Scaffolding blocks that are stacked or linked together as a single structure count as connected. Break the lowest block in that group and the rest follow it down to one spot.
Why is my scaffolding still scattering when I break it?
You are likely breaking a block in the middle or top of the structure rather than the bottom. Break the lowest connected block to trigger the grouped drop.
Does it work with scaffolding placed horizontally, not just vertically?
Yes, connected scaffolding in any direction is treated as one group. Breaking the base block of the connected set brings the rest down together.
Will the dropped scaffolding items despawn before I pick them up?
They drop as normal items at the break spot, so standard despawn timing applies. Collect them soon after teardown, especially on large towers.
Does this mod work on servers?
It needs to be installed on the server for the drop behavior to apply for all players. Client-only installation will not change server-side drops.
Is this mod compatible with other scaffolding or building mods?
It generally works alongside mods that add or modify scaffolding, but heavily modified scaffolding blocks from other mods may not always group correctly. Test with your specific modpack if unsure.
Does it affect performance on large builds?
The mod only acts when scaffolding is broken, so it has negligible impact during normal play. Tearing down a massive tower may cause a brief burst of item drops at one spot.
Can I turn off the grouped drop if I don't want it?
