Cleaning Up Scaffolding After a Build Without Leaving Stray Blocks

Plan the Teardown Order

Scaffolding often wraps around a finished build in multiple directions. Before you start breaking, look at how the scaffolding connects. Each connected group collapses when you break its lowest block, so identify the base of each group first. Work from the outside in, or from the lowest platform upward, so you are never standing on scaffolding that is about to vanish beneath you.

Avoid Standing on the Collapsing Section

Because the whole stack drops at once, you can fall if you are standing on it when it goes. Break the base from the ground or from a solid block beside the scaffolding, not from on top of it. If you must remove a high platform, build a temporary safe spot first, then knock out the base from there.

Sweeping Up Leftovers

After the main collapse, walk the area and check for isolated scaffolding blocks that were not connected to the main group. These drop normally when broken. Pick up all items promptly, since dropped scaffolding can despawn if you leave the area. If you are clearing a big site, do a final pass around the perimeter, because edge pieces sometimes form their own small connected groups and collapse separately from the main structure.
