SATB Data Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I turn on the bars when I first join a world?
Run `/trigger configure_satb` to open your personal settings menu, then select which bars you want to display. Each bar can be toggled on or off independently.
What's the difference between saturation and hunger?
Hunger is your main food bar; saturation is a hidden reserve that depletes first before your hunger bar drops. The saturation bar shows you how much of this reserve you have left.
Why is my exhaustion bar moving so fast?
Exhaustion increases when you sprint, jump, mine, or attack—the more active you are, the faster it rises. When exhaustion fills completely, your saturation or hunger decreases by one.
Can I hide bars for other players if I'm the server owner?
Yes, run `/function satb:configure` to access operator settings where you can force bar visibility on or off for everyone on the server.
Do the bars work in Survival and Creative mode?
The saturation and exhaustion bars are most useful in Survival mode where hunger matters; they may not display or function meaningfully in Creative mode.
What does armor toughness actually do in combat?
Armor toughness reduces the damage you take from strong attacks; it works alongside your regular armor value to give you extra protection against high-damage hits.
Can I move the bars to a different position on my screen?
The mod displays bars on your HUD in a fixed position; you cannot reposition them, but you can hide individual bars you don't want to see.
Why aren't the bars showing up even though I enabled them?
Make sure the data pack is loaded by checking `/datapack list`; if it's not there, the world wasn't created with the data pack enabled. You can also try running `/reload` to refresh the data pack.
Do I need to install this as a mod or is it just a data pack?
This is a data pack, not a mod, so you only need to place it in your world's datapacks folder—no mod loader or installation required.
Will the bars disappear if I turn off the data pack?
Yes, disabling the data pack will remove all bar displays immediately; re-enabling it will restore them based on your previous settings.
