Troubleshoot Water and Lava Flowing Into Your Claim

How Flow Protection Works

Safe Zone Claims Mod automatically blocks water and lava from flowing into your protected area, even if someone places it just outside your boundaries. This prevents griefing attempts where players try to flood or burn your builds from adjacent land.

If Water or Lava Still Enters

If you notice liquid inside your claim:

1. Check that your claim boundaries actually cover that area—use /claim show to see the exact borders

2. Verify the liquid source is outside your claim. Flowing water or lava that originates inside your claim (placed by you or a trusted player) will not be blocked

3. If someone placed liquid just outside your border, the mod should have stopped it. If it still flowed in, contact your server admin—there may be a configuration issue

Preventing Accidental Damage

Be cautious when resizing claims. If you shrink a claim and leave water or lava inside the new boundary, it won't be protected. Always resize carefully and check for hazards before confirming the new border.

If you need to move a claim to a completely different location, delete the old one and create a new claim instead.
