How to Add Your Own Structure to Ruins Mod
Prepare the Structure File
Build your structure in a creative world, then export it with a schematic tool that produces a .schematic file. Ruins ships with a schematic converter utility that turns that file into a Ruins template. Run the converter and point it at your schematic; it outputs a template file (typically a .tml or .tmpl depending on your setup) plus any needed resource entries.
Install and Configure the Template
Drop the converted template into the Ruins templates folder inside your Minecraft config or mods directory. Next, open the Ruins configuration files and add an entry for your structure. You define where it can spawn by biome, dimension, and rarity, and you can set rules like whether it must sit on solid ground or can float. Save the config and reload the world or restart the game.
Test the Spawn
Generate a fresh world with the same seed settings and fly around the target biome. If nothing appears, lower the rarity value or widen the biome list, then regenerate. Adjust the template's origin point if the structure sinks into terrain or floats oddly. Iterate until it spawns where you want.
