Prepare for and Complete a Challenge Tower

Before You Enter

Challenge Towers are multi-floor dungeons with increasingly difficult combat. Before entering, decide if you want the standard or hard experience. If you want a greater challenge and better rewards, drink an Ominous Bottle before stepping inside. This increases the difficulty and the quality of loot you'll find.

Climbing and Looting

Enter the tower and work your way up floor by floor. Each level contains hostile mobs—clear them to access loot chests scattered throughout. Collect supplies, weapons, and armor as you ascend. The tower's theme depends on your biome: Dry Challenge Towers spawn in deserts and badlands with the Krah-Yan's Shadow boss, while Chilling Challenge Towers appear in snowy biomes with the Borealis Archmage.

Defeating the Boss

Reach the top floor to face the final boss. Defeat it to claim its unique custom weapon and a rune. These boss drops are powerful and often have special properties. Stock up on healing items before the final fight, and use the terrain to your advantage if needed.
