Finding Sculk Chimneys

Sculk Chimneys generate above deep dark biomes, creating vertical shafts that descend deep underground. They're recognizable by their dark sculk and calcite composition. These structures are treasure routes leading to valuable ores and blocks.

Descending Safely

Carefully descend through the chimney, watching for fall damage. Bring blocks to create platforms or slow your descent. The deeper you go, the more dangerous the environment becomes—bring adequate armor and tools. Watch for sculk sensors and shriekers that may alert hostile mobs.

Collecting Resources

As you descend, you'll encounter diamonds, redstone, gold, and deep dark blocks. Mine these with appropriate tools—a diamond or netherite pickaxe works best for most ores. The chimney acts as a natural mining shaft, so you can collect substantial wealth in a single expedition. Return to the surface once your inventory is full or you've gathered what you need.
