How to Fix rotrBLOCKS Looking Blurry or Too Noisy

Common Causes

Players often report that rotrBLOCKS looks either soft and blurry or overly busy and noisy. Both usually come from texture filtering and mipmap settings rather than the pack itself. PBR packs with height maps are sensitive to how the client samples textures at distance.

Adjusting Filtering and Mipmaps

1. Open Video Settings and find the mipmap levels option. Lower it if distant blocks look smeared; raise it slightly if they shimmer.

2. Check for a texture filtering or anisotropic filtering setting. Anisotropic filtering sharpens angled surfaces, which helps POM detail read correctly.

3. In your shader options, look for a normal map or parallax quality setting. Reducing parallax depth can calm an overly noisy surface.

4. If the pack has alternate resolution variants, switch to a lower resolution to reduce visual noise and improve performance.

5. Reload resources with F3+T after each change so you can compare.

When It Is the Pack, Not Settings

If only a few specific blocks look wrong while the rest are fine, another resource pack is likely overriding those textures. Disable other packs and test rotrBLOCKS alone. If the problem persists on a single block type, report it rather than guessing at fixes.
