Rosy Island Exploration Data Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I find a Pinkan Island?
Pinkan Islands spawn randomly across ocean biomes in your world. Sail outward from the mainland across deep ocean until you spot the distinctive pink trees and bright pink grass—these islands are rare, so exploration may take time. Using a boat or swimming is the most practical way to reach them.
Do pink Pokémon only spawn on Pinkan Islands?
Yes, pink form variants are exclusive to Pinkan Island biomes and cannot be found anywhere else in the world. This makes island exploration essential if you want to complete a full collection of pink Pokémon.
Can I breed pink Pokémon to get more pink forms?
Breeding mechanics depend on your Cobblemon setup, but pink forms are typically tied to the island biome spawn system rather than genetics. Check your specific mod configuration to confirm breeding behavior for pink variants.
What's the best way to catch pink Pokémon?
Use standard Pokémon catching techniques—weaken the pink Pokémon with status effects or reduced health, then throw Poké Balls. Pink forms have the same catch rates as their regular counterparts, so any ball type will work.
Can I build a base on Pinkan Island?
Yes, you can build structures on Pinkan Islands just like any other terrain. The pink grass and trees can be harvested or replaced with your own blocks, giving you a unique aesthetic for a base.
Do pink Pokémon have different stats or abilities than normal forms?
Pink forms are cosmetic variants inspired by anime lore and function identically to their regular counterparts in terms of stats, moves, and abilities. The difference is purely visual.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
The mod adds new biomes and Pokémon variants but is designed as a data pack for Cobblemon, so performance impact should be minimal on most systems. If you experience lag, check that your render distance isn't set too high when exploring ocean areas.
Do I need a specific Cobblemon version for this mod to work?
This data pack extends Cobblemon, so you need Cobblemon installed first. Check the mod's documentation for any specific version compatibility requirements.
Can I find all pink Pokémon on a single island?
Pink Pokémon spawn across all Pinkan Islands in your world, so you may need to explore multiple islands to encounter every pink variant. Different islands can have different spawn distributions.
What should I bring when exploring for Pinkan Islands?
Bring a boat or swimming gear, plenty of Poké Balls for catching, healing items for your team, and optionally building materials if you plan to establish a base. Bring extra supplies since islands are far from the mainland.
