Room for Two Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I sleep in a bed with another player?
Both players need to right-click the same bed at roughly the same time. One player will lie down normally while the other stacks on top, and you'll both enter sleep mode together.
Can I sleep in a bed with a villager?
Yes, you can share a bed with a local villager the same way you would with another player—just right-click the bed while the villager is nearby. The villager will stack with you if it's their bed or if they're close enough.
What happens if three or more players try to use one bed?
Players will stack vertically on top of each other like a tower. This lets you fit multiple people in a single bed, though the stacking can look unusual.
Does the mod change how I see the world while sleeping?
Yes, the mod adjusts your camera angle when you're lying down in bed, giving you a different perspective than the default Minecraft sleeping view.
Do I still need to set my spawn point with a bed?
Yes, beds still set your spawn point when you sleep in them, regardless of whether you're alone or sharing with another player or villager.
Will this mod work with other mods that change bed mechanics?
Compatibility depends on how those mods modify beds. If another mod significantly changes bed behavior, conflicts may occur—test them together in your world to be sure.
Can I use this mod on a multiplayer server?
Yes, the mod works on servers, but all players on the server need to have it installed for bed-sharing to function properly.
What's the point of sharing a bed instead of just making more beds?
Shared beds save space in your base and reduce the number of beds you need to craft, which is useful for compact builds or when you want a cozy shared sleeping area.
Does sleeping in a shared bed still skip the night?
Yes, sleeping in a shared bed works the same as a normal bed—it skips to morning and sets your spawn point.
Can I share a bed with a player who's AFK?
No, both players need to actively right-click the bed to initiate shared sleeping; an AFK player won't trigger the bed-sharing mechanic.
