Ronco Record Vault Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I store a music disc in a chiseled bookshelf?
Hold a music disc in your hand, then right-click on an empty slot in a chiseled bookshelf. The disc will appear in that slot just like a stored book would.
Can I store music discs in regular bookshelves or only chiseled ones?
Only chiseled bookshelves work with this mod. Regular bookshelves cannot store music discs.
How do I get my music disc back out of the bookshelf?
Right-click directly on the disc you stored in the chiseled bookshelf, and it will pop out into your inventory.
How many discs can I fit in one chiseled bookshelf?
A chiseled bookshelf has multiple slots available, the same number as it would have for storing books.
Do the discs actually play music when stored in the bookshelf?
No, storing discs in a chiseled bookshelf is purely for storage and organization—they do not play music from the bookshelf like a jukebox would.
Can I use chiseled bookshelves with discs instead of a jukebox?
Chiseled bookshelves are for storage only and won't play music. If you want to play discs, you still need a jukebox, but bookshelves are great for keeping your collection organized and safe.
Will mobs destroy my stored music discs?
Discs stored inside a chiseled bookshelf are protected from mobs and won't drop if the bookshelf is destroyed, making this a safer storage method than leaving discs on the ground.
Does this mod work with other mods that add custom music discs?
Yes, the mod works with any music disc item in the game, including those added by other mods.
What happens if I break a chiseled bookshelf with discs inside?
The discs stored in the bookshelf will drop as items when the bookshelf is broken, so you won't lose them.
Can I see which discs are stored in a bookshelf without opening it?
Yes, the discs are visually displayed in the chiseled bookshelf slots, so you can see your collection at a glance.
