Place Multiple NPCs in a Town or Marketplace

Plan Your Layout

Decide where each NPC will stand in your town square or marketplace. Sketch out positions so characters don't overlap and players can navigate between them. Consider sightlines—place Flora near a garden area, Murchad near a forge, and Grace at a tavern entrance.

Spawn Each NPC at Specific Coordinates

Use /mm m s [npc_name] while standing at each location. The NPC will spawn where you stand. Repeat for all five characters, positioning them one by one. If you need to move an NPC later, despawn it with /mm m remove [npc_name] and respawn at a new spot.

Coordinate Dialogue and Interactions

Once all NPCs are placed, test their interactions to ensure dialogue flows naturally between characters. If Grace and Murchad are nearby, their greetings should feel like they belong in the same world. Adjust YAML files to add cross-NPC references or shared quest chains.

Save Positions

Document NPC coordinates in a server notepad or config file for easy respawning after restarts. Consider using a schematic tool to save your marketplace layout for backup or sharing with other admins.
