Customize NPC Animations and Idle Behavior
Access the ModelEngine Blueprint
Locate the NPC's blueprint file in plugins/ModelEngine/blueprints/. Each character has a .bbmodel or associated animation configuration. These files define idle poses, walking cycles, and dialogue gestures. Open the blueprint in a text editor to review available animation states.
Modify Idle and Walk Animations
Within the blueprint or the linked MythicMobs YAML, you can specify which animation plays during idle time and which triggers when the NPC moves. Adjust animation speed or swap between available poses to match your server's tone—a tavern keeper might sway gently, while the blacksmith stands alert.
Trigger Animations on Interaction
Use the Animate action in the NPC's YAML to play specific animations when players interact. For example, Flora could perform a flourish when selling flowers, or Murchad could swing his hammer during dialogue.
After changes, run /modelengine reload and /mythicmobs reload to apply updates. Respawn the NPC to see new animations in action.
